#2 Appearance Grade Cedar

This Cedar is great for use with your pergola or arbor. It can also be used on walls or on a ceiling to give your room a very rustic look. Its light tones will brighten your room too. If you prefer darker tones, Cedar is easy to stain.

The 1X material is S4S (Smooth 4 Sides) and E2E (Eased 2 Edges) so you have your choice of which side your prefer to use for your particular project.

The 2X boards are all S4S (Smooth 4 Sides).

Available in 8'-20' even lengths only.

Western Red Cedar Info

Western Red Cedar is the largest and most plentiful of all cedars in managed forests. Heartwood has excellent weather-resistant natural characteristics. Cedar is one of the lightest weight wood of the commercial softwoods. Western red cedar grows in the Pacific Northwest and along the Pacific Coast to Alaska. Cedar is generally straight grained. It has very low shrinkage. Western Red Cedar is lightweight, relatively soft and low in strength when used as a beam or posts. The heartwood is very resistant to decay. Western Red Cedar is used principally for shingles, lumber, poles, and posts. It is also used for exterior siding, decking, pergolas, arbors, interior woodwork and more.
